About the role

 

The Customer Supply and Development (CSD) business unit has a large portfolio of strategic projects. These projects include the majority of improvements and benefits coming from the Next Level program - Barry Callebaut’s global strategic transformation - and include topics like creating and implementing a digital strategy for CSD, significantly increasing the productivity of operations, etc.  They also include other improvements like increasing the safety within our factories. 

Key objective of this role is to manage a subset of the programs in the different areas of: SHE/QA/CI&TS (Customer Innovation & Technical Services), Operations Innovation & Strategy, Operations, or Digital, driving change and ensuring alignment between the different projects/programs in this portfolio. You will focus on driving and coordinating the different projects in one of the above areas under the CSD organization.  The role is positioned within the Projects team of the VP Business Optimization Programs and it is based in Zurich.

 

Key Responsibilities include

 

  • Drive and manage a portfolio of Strategic CSD projects in one of the following areas: SHE/QA/CI&TS, Operations Innovation & Strategy, Operations, or Digital

  • Collaborate with a large group of stakeholders (100+) on a day-to-day basis and align with Senior Management 

  • Build and maintain a good network across the Organization

  • Align convergent views around your area of responsibility, have a positive influence and gain buy in

  • Work together with the VP Business Optimization Programs and with relevant business stakeholders (VP level - 1)  in shaping the agenda for CSD Transformation

  • Ensure Global Business aligning by conducting assessments together with your Regional business counterparts to gain deeper insights and to assess challenges & opportunities in the current state

  • Use an integrated approach that considers the organization as a whole to outline fact-based insights for the future state

  • Design the future journey, organization and processes together with your Business counterparts to optimize the way we manage CSD

  • Define, track and ensure delivery against the Business Case to measure the value generated

  • Develop project plans and manage individual projects forward

  • Develop change plans and drive all aspects of change

 

About you

 

  • University degree: Economics, Engineering or similar

  • Knowledge of Cocoa and Chocolate Operations, Quality and Supply Chain Management

  • 10+  years of experience in Program management  in a multinational corporate and/or consultancy environment

  • Experience in Project management and Change management

  • Experience in Business Transformation

  • Track record in leading projects in the respective area (SHE/QA/CI&TS or Operations Innovation & Strategy or Operations or Digital)

  • Proven track record in leading change

  • Comfortable in engaging with senior stakeholders and able to build trust and credibility

  • Ability to influence and gain 'buy in'

  • Experience in Business Case realization as well as experience in Global design and local roll-out 

  • Positive “can do” attitude

  • Self-starter and hands-on working style

  • Ability to operate in a multicultural environment and flat organizational structure

  • Strong analytical problem solving and conceptual thinking

  • Experience in management consulting is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral 

  • Fluent knowledge of English together with other languages spoken in the Barry Callebaut world

  • Travel requirements: 30% travel required – dependent on the phase of the project
